Is there any research about learning speech and sign language simultaneously?
- evincarofautumn 15y agoI would be interested to read such research as well. I attend Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), which is also the location of the National Technical Institute for the Deaf (NTID). Anecdotally, the majority of deaf folks here report thinking in ASL. This is even the case with many English-speaking people who are hard-of-hearing or have cochlear implants.
