I think 4gl is alive and delivering on its goal of manipulating and analyzing a lot of data with few statements, for example in the form of SQL, R, Pandas, Mathematica, Wolfram Alpha, Power Query, and many more. Nobody calls it that way, anymore, however.
- random3 3y agoAgreed. SQL with relational algebras is enough to bear the name.
