It's interesting they pick Wielkopolska; I don't recall reading that this province was actually consider for the location of NPP, nor any other place in the middle of the country. Building reactors is one thing - we still need a place for nuclear waste repository. The only existing we have (we do have a working research reactor near Warszawa that produces isotopes for scientific and medical purposes) is not suitable for that. If Czarnobyl wouldn't happen then we would most likely have a working plant today in Żarnowiec [1] (quite near Lubiatowo).
