Perhaps interesting that Feyerabend/Gould were anarchist/communist.
Both were excited that Kuhn showed the assumed linearity of progress was flawed, and it really needed revolutions, but only anarchist Feyerabend went all the way to demand a complete absence of structure.
However, in recent times, Feyerabend seems to have gained some support in the areas of finance ( A Random Walk Down Wall Street ) and innovation.
When all obvious opportunities are immediately arbitraged away, often literally at the speed of light (HFT), and all obvious innovations are exploited without any barriers to entry (WFH,SAAS), only the random lucky outlier makes progress.
