I built a tiny unopinionated static site generator that is great for blogs. No toolchain or anything fancy, it has RSS support too :) It would be my pleasure if someone wants to try it https://github.com/donuts-are-good/bearclaw https://github.com/donuts-are-good/bearclaw
- mcdonje 3y agoCan't promise I'll give it a try, but I like the idea of a static site generator that's little more than a markdown to html converter. BTW, I love the word 'lagniappe'. It really should be more widely used.
- lagniappe 3y agoHey thanks, on both ;) not too often I come across people who know about lagniappe
- janalsncm 3y agoI use Hugo for my blog. Posts are written in markdown but can include any amount of HTML as well. This allows me to inject JavaScript for interactive demos and visualizations. Hugo also has RSS.
- mbork_pl 3y agoSame here: https://gitlab.com/mbork_mbork_pl/org-clive https://gitlab.com/mbork_mbork_pl/org-clive. A very minimalistic, but more-or-less feature complete (though not yet stable) blogging engine in under 400 lines of Elisp. Obviously, it supports RSS.
