Most interesting is their judgement that they really can't establish veracity here, even though they've got firsthand testimony about what transpired on the show.
Not long ago, I was looking up old flames and feeling quite maudlin, and decided I'd send an impressive floral arrangement to an ex who I'd wronged in many ways. I wasn't married to someone else, but I had certainly messed around, etc.
So I consulted the usual free people-finder websites to see if I could find her contact deets, and I found a plausible address and a phone number. I was able to refine it after finding a unit number. I composed an extraordinarily succinct note with an Old Testament reference, and sent in the order to a great local florist and waited. They contacted me to say the phone number didn't work, so I came up with another one real fast. Then they called back to report "mission accomplished", and by the barely-stifled giggling in the background, I surmised that it must have been an interesting conversation at delivery. I decided to maybe just stop spending money on people I don't actually have any contact with.
