I worked in theatre for years and audiences have a very high suspension of disbelief (much higher than for film or TV).
Except for things related to the military, specifically uniforms.
If you have a modern military uniform in your show, then it has to be _perfect_. Any errors you make will be glaring to someone who wore that uniform and it will take them out of the show.
IME almost any other factual errors in a stage performance can be ignored by the audience. They're willing to overlook it because they know it's a show.
- rascul 3y agoIt seems as though Hollywood rarely cares to get the military aspect right. Or sometimes even close. Not just the uniforms, but almost everything related. I'm a US Army veteran and those errors are glaringly obvious to me.
