It seems unlikely to me, if China invaded, that the TSMC facilities would survive intact.
- CamperBob2 3y agoEven if they did, they certainly wouldn't keep running for long without Western support.

- incompatible 3y agoPresumably, whichever side was losing would destroy it, it they were able. I wouldn't be surprised if the US also has a plan to evacuate skilled staff.
- mdp2021 3y agoAccording to Chris Miller (Chip Wars), the TSMC factories will be doomed in case of invasion. Reasons vary from intentional sabotage to disruption of maintenance (which is dramatically high in those factories).
