What's the federated version of an RSS/atom feed?
- akho 3y agoWhat do you mean?
- 0x073 3y agoRSS is already the federated version. ??? Or did you mean something like feedtree https://web.archive.org/web/20130104173140/http://www.feedtree.net/ https://web.archive.org/web/20130104173140/http://www.feedtr...
- prmoustache 3y agoRSS is a one-way communication channel publisher -> reader which isn't a context where the concept of federation make any sense. You can aggregate feeds, not federate them.
- flagrant_taco 3y agoWhy federate it? With RSS it can be individually hosted and owned, adding a federation layer would actually make it more centralized.
