I'm such a small-time investor, a total amateur, and when NFT's became a thing, I was gobsmacked that anyone would think that this, unlike every other fad of its ilk, wouldn't just fade away into obscurity in a year or three, with absolutely nobody else showing interest in them anymore. I compared them to Beanie Babies, except they couldn't accidentally get swallowed by the dog (there is nothing to swallow!), and even their stupidly high trading price wasn't nearly as foolhardy.
The flame-throwing trolls who were so sure they were right on this one that they couldn't stop preaching the word online, cheering any apparent gains daily, and jeering at the unbelievers, are the ones suing over the "obvious-in-hindsight" lack of value now.
Even the cartoonist that had his stolen. Does anybody even care about that today? Wouldn't they just laugh because the story sounds so utterly ridiculous?
I'm hoping they're all at least a little embarrassed. Take the money you have left, and invest it in something real, and doesn't have all the hallmarks of an Internet meme.
