I figure I can just put the solar panels in series until I get the desired voltage.... but surely I'll need something between the solar panels and the vehicle

I figure I can just put the solar panels in series until I get the desired voltage.... but surely I'll need something between the solar panels and the vehicle battery to manage the charging.
