YouTube regularly recommends me into Legal Eagle, which, among other things, reviews lawyer dramas. And it's curious how, within the span of an episode these can get very niche details very correct, while failing at other things (that may be less specialized and should have been hard to miss). It is clear that these dramas, or at least some of them, have consultants that know their stuff. So, to me, rather than a lack of expertise, it seems more like an internal clash of two camps, where the wins get divided up between the storytellers (scenarists) and the expert consultants.
