Breaking backwards compatibility was one of the biggest customer criticisms of Windows Vista.
- Arrath 3y agoOTOH, Vista and an interaction with a digitally distributed edition of Jagged Alliance 2 with bolted on DRM somehow resulted in it wanting a new registration key every time I launched the game. This drove me into looking for a vanilla executable that wouldn't have that after-the-fact DRM, and I discovered the 1.13 mod. So, I had one happy experience with Vista.
