because contemporary art has emancipated itself from painting. I would argue that the globalized, highly technological world needs new formats to deal with these new realities.
The eternal lamentation that art has lost its craft is simply no longer appropriate.

- 2big2fail_47 3y agoBut that's exactly the point. Contemporary art is not about taste, it's about reflecting on the world we are living in. Economy, politics, technology... Just look at artists like Simon Denny or Hito Steyerl
