- wifipunk 3y agoSmart phone addiction is going to be what kids in the future blame their Millennial parents for. We millennials got our parents hooked on them so they would stop bothering us for the bad habbit ourselves. Whichever young generation has to deal with an infrastructure crippling solar flare will probably be less dependant, but society has a number of digital vices. None of which are going away, but they are the product of demand.

- hindsightbias 3y agoIt's because they can't read it. What over 50 can? I can't. And if I could just unsubscribe from the family whatsapp channel it would sit in the car for navigation. It does make a good spotlight for the restaurants that actually paid someone make a cursive pink on black menu. Even the QR code site menu. Can kids even read cursive now? Can someone rec a lawyer who does ADA violations on menus?
- allears 3y agoKids can't read cursive now. My 13-year-old grandson, who gets good grades in school, couldn't read an inscription on a birthday card I gave him, and I have plain, legible handwriting. He had to ask his mom for help.
