Google has gotten so bad. I'm now finding worthwhile results until the second or third page.
Here is my search process
If it is from ehow ignore
If it has my search term in the URL ignore
If it is from about.com ignore
- DanBC 15y agoehow should have been hit with the Panda update? Do you have a "block all example.com results" link on your Google results page? (You might have to visit the link and then hit back in your browser to get it to appear.) Do you have any examples of search terms that don't return useful results until page two or three?
- dholowiski 15y agoLet me tell you, searching for typical tech support issues, ehow is always on the first page and the content is clearly spam- usually only tangentially related to the query. try Googling exchange server specify IP adress- and try to find something useful.
- tocomment 15y agoIntroduction to gardening was a search I tried today and wasn't happy with the results.
- AznHisoka 15y agoActually, it was shown that eHow's traffic actually went UP after Panda.
- guimarin 15y agosounds like it's time for you to give blekko.com a try. they block spam sites like ehow, about.com, and wikihow.
- Drbble 15y agoYou. Don't know why people say about.com is a spam site. It is a paraphrase site, with long readable content pages that link to other resources. I learn much more and more quickly about tmobile cell phone plans from about.com then I do from wading through tmobile's worthless website.
