No need to bring in a distracting discussion about private vs. public health system. In Europe the public health systems are doing terrible, too. Things I've been told by doctors in USA and Europe: "Hospitals are full of obese and old people." "A significant chunk of the budget goes to a small fraction of extremely unhealthy people who keep coming back." Boomers are getting really old and are starting to overload the system. Anything done to make them healthier counts.
