Aside from AI weaponry, i disagree with the premise that moderation of ai by large biased governments is the way to go. (For ai weapons, the only rule should be don't) The privacy and economic issues the author list may be legitimate but generative ai is a small grain of sand in the seabed of a problem, and making ai specific regulations is not only a useless bandaid, it is highly likely to be poorly written and lead either to regulatory capture or the death of ai.
