Buyers of Bored Ape NFTs sue after digital apes turn out to be bad investment
- eimrine 3y agoHow anything called the Bored Ape might be a good investment?
- raverbashing 3y agoAsk the ones who were defending it last year, I think some of them were even here in HN
- xrd 3y agoIt's much worse than that. It's the Bored Ape Yacht Club. It's a wealthy boating club for unsatisfied simians. Anyone with even a molecule of brains in their head should have been able to determine this was a complete scam.
- hsjqllzlfkf 3y agoFuck these "investors". 100% of them were hoping to scam someone else at a higher price level. And had they succeeded they wouldn't be suing now, they'd be praising their own "investing".
- PeterStuer 3y ago'Lawsuit plaintiffs say that harmed investors bought the NFTs "with a reasonable expectation of profit from owning them."' They can not be serious. More precise "Gamblers put all their money on a horse they heard from a friend of a friend was in good form, they lost, now claim their money back based on that it was supposed to be a 'safe bet' (ignoring the inherent contradiction ofc)."
- RetroTechie 3y agoIn other news, price of popcorn spikes as demand soars.
- The-Old-Hacker 3y agoSounds like the Dutch tulip bulb market bubble nearly 500 years ago. Greed builds stupidity in some people. https://www.investopedia.com/terms/d/dutch_tulip_bulb_market_bubble.asp https://www.investopedia.com/terms/d/dutch_tulip_bulb_market...
