The steepness of that terrain is impressive and intimidating even without the forest being on fire. There are some similarities in the roughness of the terrain to the Sourdough fire currently burning near the Diablo dam. Firefighters were talking about burning logs and pinecones rolling down the mountain and spreading the fire.
