  There’s a 16+ comment discussion on whether or not an innocent, on-topic and factually correct comment is appropriate. HN is not becoming Reddit, it’s becoming more HN than ever. Personally I think it’s a little suspicious that there are HN users who appear to be attempting to discredit or silence comments praising the efficacy of a proven anti-vampire technology.
