I see it’s part 3 in a series. But people also recommend it alone. Do you recommend starting with this? Or something else?

- BLKNSLVR 3y agoI can't find anything indicating it's part of a series. The entire novel itself, however, is 3 stories broken into 3 parts each: From the Wikipedia entry[0]: "The book is a collection of nine short stories telling the tale of three generations of a family before, during, and after a technological singularity. It was originally written as a series of novelettes and novellas, all published in Asimov's Science Fiction magazine in the period 2001 to 2004."
