It's actually LZ4S, which is an intermediate format very similar to LZ4. LZ4 can be regarded as an LZSS-only compression format with no further coding, so any format that uses LZSS as its core modelling scheme will benefit from LZ4S acceleration. (QAT also has specific support for DEFLATE and Huffman coding, but that's all.)
