There are countless opportunities to capture the CO2 from industrial applications, not from the air. I’m hoping that many of them will be replaced by carbon neutral option soon, but things like burning domestic waste might not disappear soon. I’m not sure how expensive it would be for it to be clean and pure enough, or what purity that process would need, but most of the cost you mention would be solved by colocating with a burner plant.
