I like the idea, and the media type but I find the message schema to be messy and probably obsolete even before being used. In the wild, there are error message formats that are more standard, more machine processable and more convenient in my opinion. The type being a uri looks like an useless attempt to be generic. It might have been a common base for errors, like a namespace and that would be ok but then the "error code" in itself would be missing.
