The Gateway stores was the example given by every analyst on CNBC for why Apple couldn’t have a store.
- nobleach 3y agoI can kind of understand. Apple at that time period wasn't very "think different" yet. Gil Amelio still had the company in its own "beige box" era. The idea that a store would be selling a "less compatible" computer seemed insane. Turned out to be a game changer.
