- breckenedge 3y agoYea, I’m an IC filling in right now since our PM was laid off. I’ve never given Emacs a try (8 year Vim user), but I’ll look into it. Thanks for the suggestion.
- squeegee_scream 3y agoI was a vim user, then neovim, then 3 years ago I switched to Doom Emacs. I was shocked how quickly I was able to become efficient and comfortable with Doom, just a few working days. If you want to hit the ground running, or at least power walking, I suggest Doom or one of the other preconfigured setups like Spacemacs. I’m not positive the experience is applicable to everyone but hopefully it’ll help you
