It is definitely consumption, and is uniquely thought of by some as either not being consumption or being more virtuous than purchasing things, and simultaneously being a status marker.
- dymk 3y agoI think some people value experiences over things, and some people don't. The people participating are probably not as snooty about it as you think.
- slothtrop 3y agoI don't project snootiness on all travelers. I only reflect that I've seen these arguments that necessarily come from travelers (or aspiring ones).
