Are you implying there is an easy way to learn Vim? :)
I remember the "Learn Python the Hard Way" web-site, but I'm having trouble even finding that. It looks like there is a book and a course instead. I wonder if the web-site version of these courses were eventually phased out?
This might be a good alternative:

- pipes 3y agohttps://learnpythonthehardway.org/ https://learnpythonthehardway.org/ Googled "zed Shaw learn python the hardest" He has learn c the hardware too and a few others Surprised your search didn't work, he was sort of well known for those books, and the "programming mother fucker" website Oh wait, here it is http://programming-motherfucker.com/ http://programming-motherfucker.com/

- Guybrush_T 3y agoSorry I wasn't very clear, but I can't find the old version of the web-site by Zed Shaw. It was a free tutorial and it sounds like it was in the same format that the OP was looking for. I can find the current web-site for the paid course and book.
- brudgers 3y agoMy experience is Shaw adjusts availability of his work over time. Given the strong opinions the internet including HN, often expresses about him, I understand why he might choose to do so. He might as well get paid for suffering ad hominem I guess. And it’s entirely reasonable to reduce the attack surface.
- proamdev123 3y agoIt did used to be free. I used the site years ago for awhile before he announced that he was putting it behind a paywall (except for a few free chapters).
