AI companies must prove their AI is safe, says nonprofit group
- webmaven 3y agoI'm a bit concerned over the framing "prove that AI isn't harmful", as you can't prove a negative. Just for comparison, the FDA doesn't require that drugs be proven not harmful per-se, just that the (often anticipated) therapeutic benefit isn't exceeded by harmful side effects (an oversimplification, to be sure). The bar is higher for new food ingredients intended for general consumption, but even those aren't held to a strict "not harmful" standard.
