If a team is effective, they can work with any system. agile, waterfall, whatever. That managers forced a system on to people to try and make them more productive is missing the point. Teams will be productive or not regardless and tampering's likely to make it worse. What's going to work instead is do you have a team composed of like-minded individuals who are motivated and grow with experience?
