One of the reddit comments calls out this is an inaccurate reading of the TOS:
> Y’all are some paranoid weirdos. The reason the company responded to OP’s question that way is because OP didn’t understand the TOS.

- jackvalentine 3y agoThere are a LOT of privacy issues out there and it doesn’t help when a small(ish) company that is likely doing the right thing gets ‘named and shamed’ by people who have no idea what they’re talking about but want some of that internet karma for outing them. Shame on the submitter here for submitting it two hours ago when the post on reddit that corrects this misreading was made thirteen hours ago.
- arcastroe 3y agoIt doesn't inspire much confidence that the TOS clarification had to come from some random reddit user because YNAB themselves were not very helpful when emailed.
- jackvalentine 3y agoOnly if you have inflated expectations for lvl1 support that aren’t met by any organisation in existance noting that we can’t see what the question the reddit poster asked support actually was. Just ‘asked for clarification’.
