An Iowa school district is using AI to ban books

- jfengel 3y agoWhy use AI? "The books on this master list were filtered for challenges related to sexual content. Each of these texts was reviewed using AI software to determine if it contains a depiction of a sex act." Or they could just read the book themselves. Do they lack the manpower to read so many books? Are they afraid of liking it? Are they aiming for some kind of fake objectivity to back up their nonsense? Did they try running this AI on other books? For all I know, this "AI" consists of: printf("Ew, gross")
