While that’s true, isn’t part of that due to Microsoft having enterprise-friendly licensing nailed down? I’d think that doing the equivalent of industrial espionage would remove Microsoft’s offerings from some industries extremely fast. (Corporate legal departments do read licensing terms!)
- mlinhares 3y agoIf by "enterprise-friendly licensing nailed down" you mean "it's free if you buy something else". People use it only because someone up the chain sees it's included in Office and they're like "we're not paying for something else if we get this for free". I hope Slack and others bring MS to court to stop this, this is exactly what happened during the browser wars.
