Farscape is an absolute masterpiece

  Someone recommended I watch Farscape… maybe 20 years ago at this point. I absolutely did not expect to enjoy it as much as I did. I don’t really go for campy, so I expected to be turned off, but it’s got a ton of heart.

    Yeah, too many people dismiss it as “muppets in space” which is so reductive it reflects badly on them imo. It’s goofy at times but the tone is one of serious irreverence, if that makes sense. Very much driven by the lead character who seems to be in some ways an audience surrogate going “this is bananas, my life is insane. Can’t take it TOO seriously, or I’ll go mad.”
