- jauntywundrkind 3y agoYes a bunch of rich wealthy people have made financial investments by buying cheap, low-population-density land. This is unsurprising.
- olliej 3y agoTo clarify: large scale solar and wind investments are being placed where there is space, eg in the rural countryside that is notoriously conservative dominated, at least in the US. Even if you were to look in CA, any large scale power generation (of any kind) is going to more likely to end up in republican districts due to the availability of land.
