Its just a wrapper that, when its args[0], will expand to:
podman exec -i --wait 10 [-t] {registry.PodmanSh} /bin/sh
Which has been something people have been doing for years now. It isn't any notable added complexity that isn't usable in other contexts (they added a timeout feature for handling errors better), and it isn't new functionality.
