Does anyone know why this would be set up as a (for profit?) LTD in the UK with 10 shareholders? Seems like an odd choice.

- GordonS 3y agoIf they're planning on monetising, a LTD company is a pretty standard choice, isn't it?
- 0cf8612b2e1e 3y agoGiven the UKs ongoing war on cryptography, I took more pause with the location than the corporate structure.
- janosdebugs 3y agoHow are you going to monetise without collecting a whole bunch of personal data? Crypto? Even if you believe that the future of payments is crypto, it's not like the average person easy access to crypto funds which massively limits your ability to monetise.
- psychphysic 3y agoThat's.... Bizarre unless they think this is not exposed to the incoming legislation?
- epoberezkin 3y ago"Proposed", not "incoming". We will react appropriately IF it is passed and IF it applies to us. The UK as a jurisdiction has many advantages over alternatives.
- psychphysic 3y ago'we' as in you're related to the Simplex project? If so what is the contingency plan? Out of curiosity I'd assume it's not secret anyways?
