(Title fragment missing: Similar to DOS.) Dear @wannacboatmovie (OP), Please use the full title in the future and don't editorialize. Thank you, Metadat

They did use the full title. Yours is a subtitle, look again.

Ok, my bad- Thank you, idop, you are a kind person. Sincerely. I felt a bit mislead by the title, but I acknowledge it's 100% a me problem.

How is this better than Midnight Commander?
- thristian 3y ago
It's a different model of file management that some people might find more familiar or comfortable. It's not my preferred style (I was a Norton Commander fan), but XTree was wildly popular at one time, there must be something to it.

Same here. I feel like I need to be lobotomized to work with XTree style. Long live Norton Commander style. But I guess the other camp feels the same about NC.

Yeah it also reminds me a bit of PC Tools back in the day. Just like Norton Commander and PC Tools both had their share of fans. I was more of a PC Tools fan in the PC days but I am more into mc these days. Xtree on DOS I never knew at all.
