Show HN: FalkorDB fork from RedisGraph bringing it back to life
The team behind RedisGraph decided to take a stab at bringing this disruptive technology back to market.
We plan to rebrand it and release it as a stand alone product, following the same guidelines we have followed for the last 6 years:
* Working in the open with the community
* Always provide superior performance.
* Easy to adapt
- Alifatisk 3y agoCool! I recently learned that redis has other cool features aswell like Vector search. https://redis.io/docs/interact https://redis.io/docs/interact
- gkorland 3y agoYes Redis has a full stack of features see: https://redis.io/docs/about/about-stack/ https://redis.io/docs/about/about-stack/
- Alifatisk 3y agoAny idea on how a Ruby dev could utilize these? Can't find any good Ruby gem for it.
- gkorland 3y agothis gem should work https://rubygems.org/gems/redisgraph/ https://rubygems.org/gems/redisgraph/
- Alifatisk 3y agoThanks, it looks like other parts of the Redis Stack is not supporting Ruby though
- gkorland 3y agoYou're right the general client doesn't have the stack support yet. https://github.com/redis/redis-rb https://github.com/redis/redis-rb. But, each capability (like Graph) has its own dedicated client. Which capability do you care about? e.g. for JSON you can use https://github.com/vachhanihpavan/rejson-rb https://github.com/vachhanihpavan/rejson-rb.
- benilevi 3y agoGuy korland and his team develop a real deal database. The Redis is needed for this update. Looking forward for mass to use it
