Sludge (split screen) content is consuming TikTok. Why nobody bothers?
- iamsanteri 3y ago'Sludge content' is filling up TikTok feeds, using split screens to pair users’ clips with unrelated footage. It’s aimed at getting users to watch for just a little longer, and increase views for content creators.
- raverbashing 3y agoWhy do people care? If that's the kind of content you like to watch so be it As long as it's not a mix of kid-friendly and NSFW content, who cares?
- iamsanteri 3y agoI think its more about the kind of interesting age we live in regarding content, attention, time and direction with all this. Don’t know for example when we will reach some kind of limits with how much our brains have evolved to process and enjoy all these tiny gratifying things versus how fast our environment develops. Such things. And what it means for me as an observer and onlooker is that I don’t wonder kids may be objectively having more issues than past generations or why some of my friends choose to watch a couple of videos at idle moments instead of spending time interacting, focusing and connecting. It’s also completely fine to not care at all about any of this. It’s just interesting to me how we develop.
