One word: money. If you have enough of it, the rules can be bent, or broken altogether.
- cynusx 3y agoIt's more about inefficiencies in the judicial system, every infraction is a new crime that has to be researched and evidenced and ruled upon which provides avenue for delaying actions by lawyers. The justice system is designed to defend the innocent, not to aggressively pursue and harass the guilty. SBF's is living on borrowed time as the cases make it through the legal process.

- pigeonhole123 3y agoHis family and he is extremely well connected, I'm sure they can scrape together some money for lawyers
- samstave 3y agoHe was likely funneling billions(?) to Alameda girl, who apparently absconded with a bunch... and to his parents, who are already wealthy law professors at stanford, and he gave hundreds of millions to political bribes.
