Article is low on details as to why they had kids on buses at 10pm, and is talking about giving drivers time to learn the new routes, but doesn't say the issue is drivers getting lost.
The district hired a company to design new routes with fewer routes and stops, but it's unclear if the issue is bus drivers not knowing the routes well, the company not considering the interaction between the routes and traffic, or the contractor being measured on reducing driver+bus count with no restrictions on transit time.
With so little information this article is frustrating.
- toomuchtodo 3y agoI would be interested to see the results of a FOIA request for the contract between the school district and AlphaRoute, as well as the requirements gathered and the final deliverables. https://alpharoute.com/ https://alpharoute.com/
