Veilid: Secure peer-to-peer network for apps that flips off the surveil economy
- QuantumG 3y ago"It’s like Tor and IPFS had sex and produced this thing"
- WantonQuantum 3y agoLooks like every node is an exit node. So if you don't want to be an exit node, don't use this. People have been raided and had their computer equipment seized for running TOR exit nodes. "Unlike Tor, Veilid doesn't run exit nodes. Each node in the Veilid network is equal, and if the NSA wanted to snoop on Veilid users like it does on Tor users, the Feds would have to monitor the entire network, which hopefully won't be feasible, even for the No Such Agency."
- wmf 3y agoThey're not exit nodes to the general Internet though, just to Veilid apps.
- WantonQuantum 3y agoAh good point.
