Isn’t one of the problems with nuclear that it increases water temperature in rivers
- jjk166 3y agoThe reverse actually. Reactors need to be shut down when rivers get too warm because they are not able to properly cool the reactor. Nuclear reactors don't produce anywhere near enough energy to heat a large river by a measurable amount.
- calfuris 3y agoThat's a problem associated with a particular cooling system design, so it's more of a thermal power problem than a nuclear power problem.
- midasuni 3y agoOk so wouldn’t it be a problem with a fusion/thermal system too?
