Subpoenas can happen extremely quickly though so don't think it's a slow process today. They just need a DA to talk to a judge and get the paperwork approved.

Subpoenas can happen extremely quickly though so don't think it's a slow process today. They just need a DA to talk to a judge and get the paperwork approved. I've heard there are judges on call effectively 24/7 ready to approve subpoenas as necessary.
