Remember, your BADGE has to go to the office, not YOU.
- pcan77 3y agoThey can track when you get in, but not when you leave ;)
- eschneider 3y agoBadging in a Service will become a thing, with all the attendant problems.
- Guvante 3y agoLet's be real your work PC gives them all the tracking capabilities they need. Badges aren't important if you have a PC to yourself. (And you don't need to install spyware to accomplish this, the network can trivially be setup to track the data)
- schott12521 3y agoThey do in fact track when we leave, we need to badge in and badge out.
- ChadMoran 3y agoYes they can. You have to badge out of offices as well. Citation: I currently work at Amazon.
- mrbonner 3y agoYou wish? They have been tracking checkout since 2020. If you are in the office for only a couple hours a day, it doesn’t count as RTO, I was told.
- hef19898 3y agoBadge abuse is a huge security issue in general. But hey, if want to get terminated from Amazon for cause, sure, lend your badge to a co-worker.
- eschneider 3y agoYou don't have to lend out your badge for it to 'check in' without you. This is a software problem with many solutions.
- dylan604 3y agoI can't imagine that there's not some vuln is these systems that might make a solution easier
- hiddencost 3y agoGreat way to end up extremely fired and potentially in serious legal trouble.
- imranq 3y agoJust take a badge reader back with you and badge in at home
