Haha what? Since when does Safari not offer add-ons?
- paulryanrogers 3y agoOn mobile? From 2007-2022, and it's still not as fully featured as FF.
- robertoandred 3y agoAnything is more fully featured than Firefox, since it didn’t have them at all.
- paulryanrogers 3y agoDid you mean "Safari"? Because it was Firefox that had them the whole time, albeit significantly fewer after Quantum update.
- robertoandred 3y agoExcept the story you're commenting on is Firefox getting them soon.
- paulryanrogers 3y agoFirefox is restoring access to more add-ons. Most were actually available to folks running Nightly or Fennec, yet with no guarantees all APIs had been ported. Regardless, my point stands, Safari mobile lacked extensions for over a decade while Firefox was offering some on Android. Can iOS browsers even offer meaningful extensions so long as Apple forces them to be a skin on Webkit? (With Safari getting privileged access of course.)
