I don't find none of the things author is using to be useful, or do I ever use them in my C development process. I don't have a need for Docker or any containers for that matter, unless the goal is to deploy in containers. I would never touch VSCode with a ten feet pole. Same goes for CMake -- unless forced to by external circumstances, I will never use it. Even if this environment was set up by someone else for me, I would've found it painfully difficult and uncomfortable to use... so, I don't know why would anyone else want this.
