It seems a bit weird to include, in your article about how being sufficiently smart doesn't let you take over the world, a proof of concept that being sufficiently smart can make you a billionaire. Isn't the hedge-fund-bro example a proof of existence, not a counterexample? (RenTech by itself would be enough of a proof of existence.)
